We love New Brockton for it’s small town, “Mayberry”, feel. Whenever we need a few items, we could run to New Brockton’s Dollar General. Need a few more, we _just went 5 minutes into Enterprise to the grocery store.
Our neighborhood is great for enjoying great conversations with neighbors, bonfires in the back yard, fishing, and target practicing…Great to be out of the city!_
We love to eat at Zaxbys, Ruby Tuesdays, Marcos Pizza, and Santa Fe.
Grocery stores are plentiful and within 15 minutes of the house. We shop at WalMart, Publix, and the Grocery Outlet.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the ponds, the seclusion, the azaleas, and the fruit trees. The deck gave a great view of squirrels, birds, and tranquil surroundings. It feels more like a retreat than just another home.
When we moved here, I was working in Dothan and my husband was working at Ft Rucker. Our commutes were easy. It has always been a peaceful neighborhood with caring neighbors.
A few other things that I can mention are that this house is minutes from Lowes, my husband’s favorite “toy” store, minutes from New Brockton schools, where you have the convenience of a small town school where every teacher knows your child and you know every teacher.
Don’t let the dirt road deter you from checking out this home. The sandy road is maintained by neighbors with tractors, who drag it whenever needed. The sandy road deters any folks from driving through just to “check the area out”. So, you can feel safe when your kids, or grandkids, are out playing.
With a family of 5 and people visiting all the time, we enjoy comfort. Summer thermostat was kept at 73 and winter thermostat was kept around 72. Average electric cost was $220.
