"The Seller Sez..."
"The Seller Sez..." is a place where the actual Owners of properties can tell you in their own words what they like about their house, not what an agent or an "ad writer" will say!
105 Buckridge Avenue
Enterprise, AL 36330
The things I love about Enterprise are numerous. I appreciate how friendly and close knit the community feels, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The local shops and restaurants just add to the charm and character, making it a delightful place to explore. Downtown festivals offer perfect opportunities for families to come together and have fun. And the parks are truly amazing!
Our neighborhood is great for leisurely walks, invigorating exercise routines and exploring the diverse bird life that fills the trees and skies.
We love to eat at the following restaurants: The Social on Main for its vibrant atmosphere and creative dishes, Corks and Cattle for its hearty steaks and cozy ambiance. Annie’s Cafe for its charming breakfast and brunch offerings.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the neighborhood, it was safe and close to the school I wanted my kids to attend. Additionally, the house itself had everything we were looking for: a spacious backyard, a large kitchen and plenty of room to grow. It just felt right! The first day we were there our neighbor came over with a welcome gift! How sweet was that!
The Wiregrass area is wonderful if you’re looking for a place to raise children. It offers excellent opportunities when it comes to education, growth and plenty of growth all while keeping that small town feel.
Additionally, my kids loved walking to school, even though they could easily catch the bus at the end of the street. They preferred joining their friends and walking /riding bikes to school. I especially loved how the neighbors looked out for each other‘s kids it created a wonderful sense of community.
We enjoyed all the festivals that the downtown community held. Christmas is always special because they turn the entire downtown area into Whoville! It’s just wonderful downtown community environment!
Of course we all like different things but we enjoyed using the walking trails and playing tennis on the courts at the park.
We are on Covington Electric, not Alabama Power.

301 Wimbledon Dr
Enterprise, AL 36330
We love Enterprise for its small-town home feel. We have amazing neighbors that make it great for having kids. We love the parades and festivals. The inner circle has all the best shops.
Our neighborhood is great for the schools we live close to. We live by Holly Hill Elementary, a sought after elementary. We don’t live far from Dauphin middle school; we also live close to the Enterprise high school. People who live out of the high school boundaries pay $500 a year per student to attend. Also, for the elementary, the bus stop is just across the street.
We love to eat at Mellow Mushroom. It is delicious pizza and wings, and just down the street.
Groceries stores are plentiful here. We love to shop at Publix, but if we want a quick trip to the store for little things, we will take a quick trip to Grocery Advantage since it is only a couple minute drive.
When we bought this property, we were drawn to the large yard and how the house is set nearly in the middle. We have loved making smores in the backyard as we BBQ and have friends over.
One of the neat things we found out about the middle school football team is that one of the coaches has a son that plays in the NFL. He has stopped in the school and visited the kids at times.
We loved the Johnny Henderson Park. It has play equipment, baseball fields and is just beautiful to walk the loop that they have around the park. We have also truly enjoyed being only an hour and a half from our favorite beach in Destin Florida, though there are many beaches and lakes to enjoy. There is also some great hiking and sightseeing at the mini–Grand Canyon in Georgia.
We did find out after living here a while that you can pay the same amount on your electric monthly to avoid the monthly fluctuation. That is a neat and worthwhile feature for Alabama Power.
We love working with our hands and putting our hearts into everything we do. Remodeling and updating our home, was no exception. We have spent plenty of time and thoughtful consideration in making this a dream home. The military decided it is time for us to move to our next chapter, however, we look forward to someone enjoying our little labor of love as much as we have.

2843 County Road 156
Enterprise, AL 36330
Our neighborhood is great because it is a country neighborhood with expansive properties and ample distance between homes for privacy and serenity. We have the shortest of drives from town, school, friends to our home, yet the landscape transitions into relaxing sprawling country, melting away any of the stress of town life. Our neighbors are friendly and there if we need each other. We can walk the property to exercise, and the kids grew up playing in the yard including climbing trees and having adventures in the great outdoors surrounded by nature for the imagination to grow. This struck a perfect balance between being picked up and dropped off by the Enterprise City School bus right in front of our home, then after school playtime outside prior to hitting the books. Front, back, and side porch sitting while taking in the serenity of the lush landscape is our favorite way to wind down including watching birds including hummingbirds who love to visit our numerous feeders. The mature trees include a gorgeous oak tree out front and several proliferate pecan trees. Picking up the pecans as a family are some of the now grown kids’ fondest memories. Wonderful fenced portion of the property for children and animals. Super safe area.

The things I love about Enterprise are the people. This is a great little town - not to small, but has everything we need without the distractions of living in a big city.
Our neighborhood is a quiet and friendly place that we feel safe to walk, jog or ride your bike in. There is low traffic and in all the time we have lived here, there has been no crime activity in the neighborhood.
Enterprise has so many great restaurants to choose from. Some of our favorites are: Torreros Mexican Rest, Jin Jin Chinese, Larry's BBQ, along with Moms Restaurant. For dessert, you have Milky Moo's downtown or Dairy Queen on the circle.
Grocery stores and retail stores are plentiful. For grocery's, we prefer Publix and Walmart, but we have many others to choose from. There's really no reason to go anyplace else because we can purchase everything we need right here in Enterprise.
The reason we bought this property in the first place was that it is on the edge of town but gives us easy access to everything we need - Fire and Rescue Service is just a couple of blocks away if needed. It's close to shopping, close to Ft. Rucker and quiet place to live in. We have access cable and high speed internet through Spectrum, garbage pickup with Coffee County, electric service through Pea River Electric Co-op. We very seldom lose power or cable with underground utilities, which are great in bad weather. We especially like the fact that all these services average costs are below what we paid before we moved to this area.
The Wiregrass area is just a wonderful place to live and work or just to retire and live a great life.
A few other things I can say about our area is we have great schools, lots of parks and recreational things to do in the area. This is a growing area for jobs and employment opportunities, without all the drawbacks of living in large cities.
We love all the community events offered throughout the year in our downtown area, such as the Christmas Parade, our Fall Festivals, the Fantastic Fridays, and the St. Patricks Day Smallest Parade in the World.
Of course we both have hobbies. I love to play golf and there our many great courses in the area on which to play. My wife loves to craft and sew, which makes having Hobby Lobby and a few sewing stores in the area great for her. If you are an outdoor person there are many places to hunt and fish, not to mention we are only 1 hour from some of the greatest beaches in the country.

beach. I completed an Ironman in Panama City Beach, FL.

Bridlewood Farms is an ideal location to enjoy country quiet and quick access to all that Enterprise has to offer. From the house, you can reach Boll Weevil Circle in five minutes, which puts you another five minutes from Lowe’s and Highway 167 to Troy. You can also take a direct route from the Circle via Highway 134 to North Main Street – downtown Enterprise. We have found that everything we need is located on Boll Weevil Circle and so close to the house that if we forget something we are only minutes away from Lowe’s, Publix, Dunkin Donuts, Panera Bread (all our favorites!) and historic downtown!! Just a few minutes more puts you at Rucker Boulevard so you can get to work, the Commissary or the PX easily.
The house is located on a no-outlet street. This greatly limits traffic to those who live on County Road 558 and their family and friends. In addition, all lots in Bridlewood have a standard, low maintenance, fencing set back about 15 feet from the roadway. The fencing provides a nice barrier between the house and the road.
Our home is fortunate to be located on a lot that shares a 100-foot power company easement with the neighbor to our north. Having this additional 100 feet provides a longer sight distance from the house – adds privacy to the Master suite side of the house – and, provides greater opportunity to landscape and park overflow vehicles for your family and friends.
The lot is almost two acres and contains both mature and young hardwood and evergreen trees. The view from the elevated back deck is directly into the woods – providing privacy for your early morning coffee and get-togethers with friends. While we chose to maintain a more natural wooded view from the back deck, you may want to extend the line of sight for another 50-75 feet into the lot to make room for a fire pit or equipment for the family. The possibilities are endless as to what you can create for your family as a private retreat.
Whether you are a couple who want to down-size and still have plenty of room for family to visit, or a family with growing children, our home has so much to offer. Privacy for mom and dad in the large master suite and nice sized bedrooms with large closets. Either Mom or Dad can have their private office or craft room at the front of the house as well. The flow between the great room and kitchen keeps everyone engaged, while the separate dining room provides lots of space for those family meals and holiday parties.
Come see our home and make it yours.

We love New Brockton for it’s small town, “Mayberry”, feel. Whenever we need a few items, we could run to New Brockton’s Dollar General. Need a few more, we just went 5 minutes into Enterprise to the groc_ery store.
Our neighborhood is great for enjoying great conversations with neighbors, bonfires in the back yard, fishing, and target practicing…Great to be out of the city!
We love to eat at Zaxbys, Ruby Tuesdays, Marcos Pizza, and Santa Fe.
Grocery stores are plentiful and within 15 minutes of the house. We shop at WalMart, Publix, and the Grocery Outlet.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the ponds, the seclusion, the azaleas, and the fruit trees. The deck gave a great view of squirrels, birds, and tranquil surroundings. It feels more like a retreat than just another home.
When we moved here, I was working in Dothan and my husband was working at Ft Rucker. Our commutes were easy. It has always been a peaceful neighborhood with caring neighbors.
A few other things that I can mention are that this house is minutes from Lowes, my husband’s favorite “toy” store, minutes from New Brockton schools, where you have the convenience of a small town school where every teacher knows your child and you know every teacher.
Don’t let the dirt road deter you from checking out this home. The sandy road is maintained by neighbors with tractors, who drag it whenever needed. The sandy road deters any folks from driving through just to “check the area out”. So, you can feel safe when your kids, or grandkids, are out playing.
With a family of 5 and people visiting all the time, we enjoy comfort. Summer thermostat was kept at 73 and winter thermostat was kept around 72. Average electric cost was $220.

115 N. Dawkins, New Brockton
The things I love about New Brockton is that it gives you a great small town feeling while still being really close to Ft. Rucker and Enterprise. It has a great local restaurant with 5 star quality food. We went there all the time to enjoy a nice glass of wine or just sit out on the patio. There is a post office, gas station, bank and store. Which provide you with everything you need within walking distance.
Our neighborhood is great for walks, going to church events and lending a helping hand. Everyone waves hello.
We LOVE to eat at Frogz. People from all over the area including Dothan and Troy travel to New Brockton to go to Frogz.
Grocery stores are nearby. The local store gives you all of your general household and food needs. There are 2 major chain grocery stores within a 5 minute drive.
I loved everything about the house. When I first saw my property I loved the updates the previous owners had done. Everything was done. It was move in ready. The laundry room was bright and spacious. I loved the fact that there was a fire place and extra rooms for guests, entertaining. The Master suite was FANTASTIC. It was huge and had a huge walk in closet and amazing en suite.
The Wiregrass area is wonderful. We hated to leave the house and the area. Yet as the Army would have it, we had to move. The sense of community and fellowship is amazing. The support the area has for military families was astounding and we made some wonderful friends and memories. The hospitals in the area are great and there is no lack in any amenity you may be looking for.
A few other things I would like to mention are that New Brockton has a high school and elementary school that are both within walking distance of the house. Both are very good.
We really loved our house. We were very reluctant to leave. It was a hard decision but we had to make the move because of military obligations. It is a great family home. It is bright, warm, move in ready, modern with a hint of historic charm. It was our first home and we wish to see it go to someone who will appreciate its beauty as much as we did.
We enjoy a lot of outdoor activities and often went walking. We also went skeet shooting at Ft. Rucker (only 12 minutes away). We would take some time off to go fishing on the Pea River and on Ft. Rucker. We grilled out a lot in the fenced in back-yard. Always something to do and nothing too far away.
Our utilities were with New Brockton Water Department, Alabama Power and Time warner. All had great service and we never had any issues with pricing. Our gas for the fireplace was with a company in Elba. The costs were much lower then some of our friends in the surrounding areas. Our average electric bill was $100 to $250. Our cable/INTERNET/phone was $85. Our water/garbage pickup/sewer was approximately $35. A very low maintenance property.

I love Dothan because it is a very friendly, very safe, and very modernized town. You have all the conveniences of a big city with all the things folks love about small town living. Also Dothan is home to two major hospitals, over 300 restaurants and a tremendous school system.
Our neighborhood is awesome! The people who live here are extremely friendly, kind, caring, and generous. Our neighbors come to our house each year on Christmas Eve for a tremendous get-together. Also we help each other out in any way we can from lending our help to lending our belongings. I couldn't ask for a better neighborhood.
Dothan is home to over 300 restaurants. If you can think of it, I'm sure Dothan has it. Our favorite has to be The BBQ Shack. Also amongst our favorites are Cheddar's, La Parilla, and Things and Wings.
Dothan has its range of grocery stores, from Publix to Walmart, Winn-Dixie to so many others.
We bought our house because of its beautiful architecture. The curb appeal on our home is incredible. It is the most beautiful home I have ever seen. We couldn't believe the size of the property for being in a development. Plus the neighborhood is the nicest, cleanest, brightest, and safest.
The Dothan area has to be one of the most unique places I have ever lived. From our home you can be in a city-like environment going one way up the street and a farm-rich environment the other way. It really is the best of both worlds.
Dothan offers a wide range of school options. If you are a public school person, the public schools here a very safe and convenient. Dothan also offers a magnet school program which has been a great opportunity for our son. If private schools are more your thing, Dothan is swimming in them.
The quiet calm of our neighborhood adds to its beauty. This development is the best in the Dothan area. We have sidewalks throughout the neighborhood, a community park, and a golf course. The streams that run through the neighborhood are swimming with turtles, ducks, and geese. Our favorite has to be the multitude of fox squirrels we see on the golf course, they are so cute!
I am a very avid bicyclist and this neighborhood allows me the safety to do that. Also within a few miles of our home is the Westgate Community Center which offers so many programs all year round, to include an indoor swimming pool.
I am very impressed with the costs of our utility bills. With a family of 4, the swimming pool, and the sprinkler system our water bill runs between $50-$120/month. Our electric bill with 2 central air systems (one for downstairs and one for upstairs) runs between $150-$300/month. The house is very well insulated and holds its temperature very

167 Griffith Lane, New Brockton
There is a Dollar General down the road. It is convenient for picking up needed items. Publix is just 5 miles down the road in Enterprise.
It has a big yard on a hilltop. Plenty of room for children to play. It is already fenced in on two sides. So if you wanted to complete the fencing, you are halfway there!
It is just the right distance from Enterprise for a quiet neighborhood, but close enough for the convenience of running to town for errands.
New Brockton Elementary and New Brockton High School are both within walking distance, especially New Brockton High School. If you have children that are school age, you will not have to travel far for practice, games, or other after school activities.
There is a gas line up to the house if you want to install a gas stove in the kitchen or an outdoor gas kitchen.
We enjoy taking our dogs to the Henderson Park for walking and exercise. Henderson Park is just right down the road. We also take the dogs to BamaJam Farms for walks. BamaJam Farms is about 2 miles away. We like the convince of having a great restaurant, Frogz, so close. There are several local churches in the area and some are within walking distance.
The utilities is with Alabama Power. The utility bill is roughly $100 a month. The house is on city water and sewer with New Brockton Water Department. The water/sewer/trash bill is roughly $50 a month. Our cable is with TimeWarner.

A number of our favorite restaurants such as Panera Bread, Santa Fe, Ruby Tuesdays, Ryans, Redbrick pizza, Chilis, Logans, Mikata's Japanese Hibachi Steak House, TGI Fridays, Hooters, and Longhorn (just to name a few) are all within a 20 mile radius to this home. Others include McDonalds, Burger King, Chic-fil-a, Taco Bell, KFC, Zaxby's, and Captain D's.
One of the best aspects of this home and neighborhood is its close proximity to Wal--Mart and Publix. Wal_Mart shopping is less than five miles away while Publix is within 10 miles. Other convenient establishments within 7 miles of this home include Winn Dixie, JC Penney, Hibbets,TJ Maxx, Dollar General, and Maurices.
The Commissary and PX on Fort Rucker are within eight miles.
The main attraction for us when we bought this house is its convenience to HWY 84, closeness to Fort Rucker, Dothan, and the city of Enterprise. We were also drawn to the quietness and safeness of the neighborhood directly related to the cul-de-sac in which this house resides.
The Wiregrass area is wonderful for:
~Family living
~Raising children
~Small town convenience with big town quality
~Exceptional education
The utilities for this house are paid to Pea River Electric. The monthly average utility cost is $200. The water supply is managed by Level Plains Water Systems with an average monthly cost of $32.00.

680 County Road 750, Enterprise, AL 36330 You can't help but love Enterprise. The folks here have been welcoming and friendly from the moment we moved here. Great schools, a neat downtown that is growing and Enterprise has lots to do and good shopping. Not too big, not too small.
Our neighborhood is great for families or those who enjoy a family-type atmosphere. It’s a very safe neighborhood, so you'll see the kids out on their bikes and families walking their dogs. I always loved it because it was a great place to run around for exercise. We have had block parties and neighborhood get-togethers in the past as well.
Enterprise has no shortage of excellent restaurants. We have many fave places to eat. Nearest is Marco's Pizza (YUM) and Zack's (YUM YUM!). And Cupcakes Y'all (in the same shopping plaza) has THE MOST amazing cupcakes and goodies, to include a great lunch and coffees.
You must try Larry's Bar B Que, Annie's downtown and Cutt's for local flavor. Enterprise has recently added Panera Bread and Chick Fil A, and we have a wonderful variety of other really good restaurants like Mellow Mushroom, Ruby Tuesdays and Po Folks, just to name a few.
We have several excellent coffee shops. Cupcakes Y'all, as I mentioned above, Dakota's, Nantucket's (downtown next to Annie's) and Boldly Going.

222 South Academy Street Geneva 36340 SOLD
The things I love about my town are: safety, quietness, low crime, friendliness, little traffic (I'm spoiled) there are many Churches, a God fearing town and the beautiful trees. (countryside)
Our neighborhood is great for safety, quietness and friendliness.
We love the following restaurants: Ole Mexico, Chinese, Pizza Hut, Barbecue, etc.
Grocery stores are plentiful and I love the Magnolia Market. The staff is great and they have tasty generic brands.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the beautiful Victorian features of the home, original craftsmanship and the nice big backyard with beautiful trees.
The Wiregrass area is wonderful for many things such as: safety, God fearing people (higher values and morals), lower crime and little traffic. (that's awesome)
A few other things that I can mention would be the good schools and daycares. We also have a Wal-Mart, Family Dollar and 2 Dollar General stores. A new factory recently located to Geneva, The "Sysco".
We love to spend time at the park which is very child friendly. There are many arts and crafts and music festivals held there along with antique car viewings held often in the downtown area.

3621 Lake Oak Ridge SOLD
The things I love about Enterprise, are that it has a small town feel with a lot of the conveniences (stores, restaurants, etc.) of a larger town, many great family-friendly community activities, and churches that allow your family to find just the right place to worship. The proximity to Fort Rucker is great not only for work, and Commissary but also for other things a military family needs.
Our neighborhood is great for raising a family and enjoying wonderful/friendly and courteous neighbors who can make you feel like you are part of their family no matter who you are.
You can go fishing on the lake, walking your dog as well as picnicking in the common area by the lake or relaxing at home but never being too far from anything in town when you need or want it.
We love to eat at Brasas Brazil, Rawls, Miyori Japanese Steakhouse, La Leyenda, or El Rodeo (great, authentic Mexican Food) as well as Santa Fe Steak House, Mellow Mushroom, Ruby Tuesdays among many others. We never lack for a place to go out as couple or with the entire family. There are many varieties of styles and ethnicities of food.
Grocery stores are plentiful. As a military family, we often did our grocery shopping at the Commissary on Ft. Rucker (since it's not too far away) or at Publix (within minutes of the house). In addition, there is a Grocery Outlet, Piggly-Wiggly, Winn-Dixie, Wal-Mart Supercenter, Seoul Oriental Food Store, Food Giant, as well as other smaller grocery stores.
When we moved to Enterprise, we looked at a lot of houses but this one stood out from all of them because of its beautiful green and quiet neighborhood as well as it's location. We loved that it is a corner lot (which allowed us more personal space). We love that the house sits high on the lot and it has a large back yard as well as large front yard.
The inside of the house appealed to us greatly for its many features like the large and open floor plan with, the Split Bedroom, the Walk-in Closets, Jacuzzi Hot Tub. The kitchen and the Custom Cabinets as well as Custom Concrete Countertops were an incredible plus because of the easy maintenance and durability as well as resistance to heat and scratching. Plus the Two Car Garage was useful in bad weather.
The Wiregrass area is wonderful for its many amenities and Enterprise has a wealth of attractions both historic and contemporary to make it a destination for visitors year-round. The city’s Boll Weevil Monument is known worldwide, and Fort Rucker, the Historic Rawls Hotel, and the Army Aviation Museum also draw many visitors to this quiet, south Alabama town.
For us military families, it is the perfect balance between military and home life. We are close to Ft. Rucker where we can get to work quickly and easily and it is nice to be living off post in a town like Enterprise where we can get a break from military life when we want to.
The Enterprise school system continuously ranks among the best in the state. Their music programs are top notch and the sports teams are well known state wide. The new Enterprise High School is one of the top 3 largest schools in the Southeast, and even has FEMA approved storm-reinforced sections.
Of course we all like different things, however this area truly has something for everyone. Whether you like events like the Peanut Festival or Bama Jam, a good round of golf, or family time at the park, or bike riding, Enterprise provides an abundance of options for everyone. One of our favorite things about this area has been taking day or weekend trips to the gulf coast beaches. The beaches are beautiful, are only a short drive away, and have lots of great lodging available.
The lake across from the house gave us a place where we can enjoy even more relaxed time on the water where we can have more fun fishing or relaxing on the boat enjoying the quite time at night.
Our average electric bill with Covington Electric was approximately $180.00/mo. Our average water bill with Enterprise Water Works was $20.00/mo. (These figures are an average of the 12 months of 2012.) We used DirecTV for television service which we found to be the absolute best compared to other providers. Overall we have been pleased by the service of all these providers.

105 Shadow Lane - now RENTED for 2-3 years, so off the Market.
Enterprise Al, derives much of its patriotism from nearby Fort Rucker, the Home of Army Aviation. The town has also been named a Retiree Model City, ranking in the top 25 towns for military to retire. Discover the largest collection of Army aircraft in America at the Army Aviation Museum.
I love the Southern hospitality, downtown Enterprise is the place to go. Find shopping and dining in addition to an interactive art studio, museums and bed and breakfasts. The town prides itself on finding the perfect balance between traditional Southern charm and progress, hence the nickname, the City of Progress.
Our neighborhood is great because where you live has a way of making certain demands on how you live. In my neighborhood, the garbage collector comes on Fridays mornings, so it’s my responsibility to get our garbage can out to the curb the night before. Letting the trash and shrubs pile up on the curb for days before doesn’t make for happy neighbors. And we have lots of children playing outside, so signs are posted everywhere reminding drivers to slow down. That means I drive slowly and watch for little ones who, without looking, chase wayward balls into the street. Most of the community is retired and just want a little peace and quiet. My home is nestled in the far corner of the neighborhood and hardly any traffic. The back yard is peaceful and secluded from the back neighbors via a small stream and beautiful forest, plenty of room for young kids to grow and explore.
Food is very important to me as part of Southern hospitality and the Rawls Restaurant down town enterprise is the best! Features a regional influenced menu. Our farm-to-table culinary delights change daily to highlight the freshest, finest local products available.
Grocery stores are plentiful and convenient. As a military family, we often shop at the Commissary on Ft. Rucker since it's not too far away. In addition, there is a Super Wal-Mart near by as well as a brand new Publix within minutes from the house. There is also a Food World that's almost in our neighborhood. It's great for those last minute ingredients you've run out of. Furthermore, there are several other smaller grocery stores around town, like Winn Dixie.
My son Hunter is 6 and very active. As soon as we moved here I signed him up at the local recreation center in Enterprise. He has enjoyed all the youth sports that they offer and I have repeatedly been asked to join as an assistant coach. The community welcomed us with open arms!!

When we first moved to town, we looked at A LOT of houses (around 60 or so). This one stood out from everything else we saw in our price range and we have worked to improve it even further. First, it is a corner lot so we get much more "personal space." Our house isn't shoved right up against our neighbor's. Our spacious, fenced in back yard is perfect for our growing kids and dog or having friends over for cookouts. We have several mature trees in the front and back which provide both shade and privacy. It feels like we have a small piece of country life in the middle a suburban neighborhood. We have capitalized on this attractive asset by expanding the fenced portion of the yard, leveling it, and by adding flowers, a fire pit, a sprinkler system, and a privacy fence. Secondly, we have a spacious interior. We have opened up and updated the all shared areas and added a spacious bonus room with built in cabinetry. There are so many special features to love about our home.
Enterprise is a great place to live. For us military families, it is the perfect balance between military and home life. We are close to Ft. Rucker where we can get to work quickly and easily and also be involved in military life to its fullest. It is equally as nice to be living off post in a town like Enterprise where we can be involved in the civilian community life and get a break from military life when we want to. The Enterprise community is extremely supportive of military families.
Our home is located in a great school district and the schools are only minutes from the house. Enterprise also provides a couple private options for your children's schooling, if you so desire. Furthermore, there is a community college in town with opportunity for continued education. In addition, Enterprise has a great YMCA and Recreation Department where kids have the opportunity to participate in sports in a wholesome, positive environment. Furthermore, there are options for dance, gymnastics, martial arts, soccer clubs, and many other extracurricular activities. We also have a big, beautiful park only minutes from our home with a play ground, splash park, walking/running trails, athletic fields, and picnic areas.
Our home is in a great location and is situated on a great lot. Beyond all that, we have invested a lot of time, effort, and money in updating and improving every room as well as adding an extra room. We have completely renovated the kitchen, complete with custom cabinetry, solid surface counter-tops, and recessed lighting. We've opened up the floor plan and updated all light fixtures. We have replaced, remodeled, built, painted, and cleaned until we have created an updated, beautiful home which we would love to continue to enjoy if we didn't have to move. All you have to do is move in and enjoy the fruits of our labors. You just have to add your own personal touches and call it home.

402 Wildwood SOLD
There are many things to love about Enterprise, Alabama. The diverse population comes together in a spirit of community. It has the warm feeling of a small community although it has the resources of a larger city. When we arrived in August 1986, our son was 4 years old and we wanted a place to raise him that would be safe, full of activities, good education, recreation, fun, and find a loving church family. We found all this in Enterprise. We have lived here 21 years and were never disappointed in our choice.
Our neighborhood is friendly and great for watching out for each other. Being located in a back secluded street makes it less traveled on by vehicles and unwanted intruders, therefore safer for children. Everyone gets to know each other and helps you out when needed.
The restaurants in the area are varied and great. Restaurants we loved to eat at included: Ruby Tuesday, Santa Fe Cattle Company, Pizza Hut, Ryan’s, Rawls Hotel, and Mellow Mushroom.
Grocery stores are plentiful and naturally I loved going to the new Walmart Supercenter which is within 5 minutes. Other grocery stores in the area include Publix, Food World and Winn Dixie. Of course I shopped at Fort Rucker’s Commissary which is only 10 minutes away. There are lots of possibilities within a few minute’s drive.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the locality, the house, and the neighborhood. David was active duty military. He enjoyed being within 3.4 miles from Fort Rucker. Also, the fact that our son could walk safely to one of the best schools was a big plus. The neighborhood is located away from traffic since it is a back street. This made it safer for him to ride his bike and we never had a security problem. The fenced-in back yard with the playhouse and shaded large grassy area made it a favorite for local children to gather. Many Scout meetings were held in our back yard.
The Wiregrass area is wonderful with access to rural area, shopping, parks, activities, small and large cities, colleges, state capital, and naturally the beaches of Florida. Fort Rucker contributes to the economic stability of the area and adds valuable resources. In 2010, based on new US Census data, Enterprise was named Alabama's "Boom Town," boasting a 25.3% growth over 10 years. Our 26,574 person population allows it to provide a quality of life that integrates small town togetherness with urban vitality.
A few other things that I can mention are the schools and activities available. Having been a teacher in Alaska and Maryland, the public education system was a high priority for me. I found Enterprise’s public education excellent. With an active 4 year old, schools were our primary concern. With some research we found out that Harrand Creek Elementary School was the school of choice. Sean entered Kindergarten at Harrand Creek School which is within walking distance. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 2000 and is now Dr. Sean Rotolo. I give a great deal of credit to his Enterprise education for his success.
I can also vouch for the Enterprise State Community College since it helped me complete my undergraduate degree when we first lived in Enterprise in the 70’s. Having so many local colleges increases higher education opportunities.
There are many fine education possibilities in the Wiregrass area.
We love to entertain in this home. The back yard, enclosed sun room, and spacious concreted driveways make it perfect for any size party. The playhouse in the back yard is great for the small child up to teenage years. The large shade trees make it comfortable in the summer. If a pool were desired, there is room to put one in.
Of course we all like different things, we enjoy tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball, football, camping, concerts, beach activities, and belonging to local car clubs. If you are a handy person the automobile pit located in the 3rd garage is ideal for changing oil and working on vehicles. The covered motor home area provides protection to a motor home or an outside event.
Our friends could not believe how low our utility costs were. The house is very energy efficient for it’s size. There have been many extras added to increase energy efficiency. The water heater is indoors and on a timer. The mother-in-law suite is separate from the main house so when it isn’t being used there is no energy required. The large shade trees help with summer cooling. The refrigerator is new and energy efficient. The electric is provided by Alabama Electric and the city provides water and sewer. Our high speed Internet and cable was provided by Adelphia.

The thing I love about Enterprise is Enterprise has the best monument the world has ever known.
Our neighborhood is great for walking around, fishing in the pond, watching the cows, and we have wonderful neighbors.
We love to eat at the following restaurants:
Rodeo, Sonic(happy hour), Annie's, breakfast at Cutt's and Santa Fe.
Grocery stores are plentiful and a Publix has just opened down the road. There is plenty of shopping close by for all your needs. Along with the YMCA and the country club. There is even a golf cart cut through to the country club.
We moved here for the amazing school districts and the close location to Ft. Rucker, without being too close. There is even a "back way" onto Post just down the street from us.
The Wiregrass Area is great for a small town feel without missing out on all the convenience of a much bigger city. Many wonderful churches are very close by, our favorite is the Grace Place and we are able to ride our bikes to church sometimes.
We love our metal roof! We have seen many shingles replaced in the time we have been here and after storms, but we have almost stopped checking our metal roof for problems.
We enjoy picking wild blackberries down by the pond and the newly paved street for the kids skateboards, bikes and scooters.
We like being on septic, because we only get charged for intake of water. Never had a water bill over $30 a month. The garbage service here is great and included in that low water bill. I have seen the guys get out their shovels and pick up messes they did not make. Wish I could say that for some other places I have lived.
