Why I Love My Home
by the actual Owner
The things I love about Enterprise are the people. This is a great little town - not to small, but has everything we need without the distractions of living in a big city.
Our neighborhood is a quiet and friendly place that we feel safe to walk, jog or ride your bike in. There is low traffic and in all the time we have lived here, there has been no crime activity in the neighborhood.
Enterprise has so many great restaurants to choose from. Some of our favorites are: Torreros Mexican Rest, Jin Jin Chinese, Larry's BBQ, along with Moms Restaurant. For dessert, you have Milky Moo's downtown or Dairy Queen on the circle.
Grocery stores and retail stores are plentiful. For grocery's, we prefer Publix and Walmart, but we have many others to choose from. There's really no reason to go anyplace else because we can purchase everything we need right here in Enterprise.
The reason we bought this property in the first place was that it is on the edge of town but gives us easy access to everything we need - Fire and Rescue Service is just a couple of blocks away if needed. It's close to shopping, close to Ft. Rucker and quiet place to live in. We have access cable and high speed internet through Spectrum, garbage pickup with Coffee County, electric service through Pea River Electric Co-op. We very seldom lose power or cable with underground utilities, which are great in bad weather. We especially like the fact that all these services average costs are below what we paid before we moved to this area.
The Wiregrass area is just a wonderful place to live and work or just to retire and live a great life.
A few other things I can say about our area is we have great schools, lots of parks and recreational things to do in the area. This is a growing area for jobs and employment opportunities, without all the drawbacks of living in large cities.
We love all the community events offered throughout the year in our downtown area, such as the Christmas Parade, our Fall Festivals, the Fantastic Fridays, and the St. Patricks Day Smallest Parade in the World.
Of course we both have hobbies. I love to play golf and there our many great courses in the area on which to play. My wife loves to craft and sew, which makes having Hobby Lobby and a few sewing stores in the area great for her. If you are an outdoor person there are many places to hunt and fish, not to mention we are only 1 hour from some of the greatest beaches in the country.
